The city of Southfield will host the 2nd annual Southfield Winter Fun Fest on Sunday, February 22 from 2-6 p.m. in the Southfield Pavilion and Sports Arena, located in the Municipal Complex at 26000 Evergreen Road.
This free community event will feature an afternoon of music, food and games for the whole family, including: children’s arts and crafts, hayrides, animal petting farm, S’mores marshmallow roast, Wii interactive gaming area, obstacle course, moonwalk, ice sculpture carving demonstrations, and Michigan Lego Train Club demonstrations and hands-on Lego activity area. Air brush face painting and caricatures will also be available for a small fee. Free ice skating will be available in the Southfield Sports Arena from 3-6 p.m. as well as live musical performances in the Pavilion by the Paul Miles Band (R&B & Blues) from 2:30-3:20 p.m., the Southfield High School Jazz Band from 3:30-4:20 p.m., the Levey Middle School Jazz Band from 4:30-4:50 p.m., and the Skye Island Jazz Band from 5-6 p.m. The event will also feature food available for purchase as well as free admission and parking.
