City of Southfield Mayor Brenda L. Lawrence will join Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero and a delegation of 30 other mayors and local officials from across America to Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, November 18 in support of the effort to provide emergency federal loan funding to U.S. automakers.
The delegation will pledge their support of the proposed $25 billion bill to provide emergency federal loans to the U.S. automakers. The delegation will also convey to Congress and the Administration that America's main street communities cannot withstand the failure or further deterioration of the U.S. automotive sector.
