The city of
Southfield will host a disaster planning and preparation seminar for
businesses on Thursday, November 9 from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m., at the
Southfield Public Library, located at 26300 Evergreen Road. The free
program is designed to educate businesses on what qualifies as a
disaster, acquire the skills needed to prevent or minimize the effects
of a disaster and learn the appropriate actions to take before, during
and after a disaster.
Southfield
Emergency Management Director Frank Coutts will conduct the seminar
themed “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” Pre-registration is
required. The first 25 persons to register and attend will receive a
