City of Southfield offers free Halloween candy screening

The city of Southfield Emergency Management Division will offer free Halloween candy screening for Southfield residents on Monday, October 31 from 6:30 - 9 p.m. at the Southfield Sports Arena, located at 26000 Evergreen Road. The hours for Trick-or-Treating in Southfield are from 6 - 8 p.m.

“The city of Southfield is pleased to offer this valuable service to our residents,” said Southfield Emergency Management Director Frank Coutts. “This is a free and convenient way to make sure your child’s Halloween bag is full of only treats and no tricks!”

The candy screening will take place in the lobby of the ice arena; parking is available in front of the building (west side entrance across from the library). For more information, contact Southfield Emergency Management, at (248) 796-5990.
