Action Requested: Approve the budget adjustment to provide funding for the expedited hiring of an Animal Control Officer within the Police Department

CA-B Approval of Contract Extension/Amendment with the Southfield Non-Profit Housing Corporation to Reimburse the City for 90% of the Costs of the Senior Citizen Social Worker

Action Requested: Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into a contract extension/amendment with the Southfield Non-Profit Housing Corporation to reimburse the City in the amount of $77,374.00 or 90% of the $85,971.00 cost of the Senior Citizen Social Worker for the period of August 25, 2008 through August 24, 2009

CA-C Receipt of Bids for the Demolition of 19410 Birchridge and 20922 Mapleridge

Action Requested: Award the court ordered demolition of 19410 Birchridge and 20922 Mapleridge to J.R. Matthews of Farmington, Michigan, for the acceptable low bids of $8,565.20 for Birchridge and $5,527.20 for Mapleridge, less payment terms of 2% prompt payment discount, for a grand total of $14,092.40

CA-D Approval of Temporary Traffic Control Order for Garner Street

Action Requested: Authorize the Traffic Engineer to sign the Temporary Traffic Control Order making Garner Street a one way street from Edinburgh to 220 feet east for a period of 120 days (through December 23, 2008)

CA-E Beech Woods Stream Bank Stabilization Project – Rouge River National Wet Weather Demonstration Project Round VIII Grant Program for Permit Compliance Activities Receipt of Bids

Action Requested: Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a contract with Washtenaw, Inc. of Ypsilanti, Michigan for their acceptable low bid of $76,634,45; total project cost including contingency in a not-to-exceed amount of $91,961.34

CA-F Nine Mile Road, Providence Drive, JL Hudson Drive Landscape Enhancement Project Receipt of Bids

Action Requested: Award the construction contract for Nine Mile Road, Providence Drive and JL Hudson Drive Landscape Project to DeAngelis Landscape, Inc. of Woodhaven, Michigan for their acceptable low bid of $376,569; total project cost of $414,225, including contingency
