The city of Southfield and the American Red Cross will sponsor a community/employee blood drive on Tuesday, August 19 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Southfield Pavilion, located at 26000 Evergreen Road at 10 ½ Mile Road.
To donate blood, donors must be at least 17 years old, weight at least 110 pounds and be in good general health. There is a particular need for the following blood types: O-negative, O-positive, A-negative, A-positive and B-positive. Appointments are encouraged and can be made by calling the Southfield Emergency Management office at (248) 796-5990, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
