The city of Southfield and the Commission on Senior Adults (COSA) will present a special forum on the digital television transition on Thursday, July 31 at 2 p.m. at the Southfield Adult Recreation Center 50+ located inside McDonnell Towers, 24350 Civic Center Drive ½ block east of Telegraph Road on the north side of Civic Center Drive.
The program will be presented by WDIV-TV Local 4’s Andrew Humphrey and Mike Katona and is part of a consumer education initiative to increase awareness of the national transition from analog to digital television, which will be completed by February 17, 2009.
The presentation will include information to help seniors better understand the nature of the transition, the changes that will occur before February 2009, and steps consumers may need to take to maintain over-the-air signals. A question and answer period will follow the presentation. Call the Adult Recreation Center 50+ at (248) 796-4650 for further information.
