Southfield Veterans’ Commission to sponsor business seminar June 4

The Southfield Veterans’ Commission, in conjunction with the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the Michigan Department of Management & Budget, the Michigan Department of Transportation and the City of Southfield Purchasing Department, will host “How To Do Business With The State of Michigan” on Wednesday, June 4 from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Southfield Public Library, 26300 Evergreen Road.

The seminar is free and open to all business owners. It will address such topics as: how to bid on state contracts; the requirements for bidding; and how to get assistance. Special emphasis will be placed on the bidding process for disabled veterans and underrepresented vendor groups. The Southfield Purchasing Department will also provide information on how to bid on City of Southfield contracts. A question and answer period will follow the presentation.

No registration is required and refreshments will be served. The Southfield Veterans’ Commission is a 501(a) non-profit official commission of the City of Southfield.
