Thirteen Mile Road closed between Southfield and Greenfield Roads

The City of Southfield and the Village of Beverly Hills have closed 13 Mile Road from just east of Southfield Road to Greenfield Road to reconstruct the road. Throughout the closure, residents living within the construction zone will still be allowed to access their homes at all times.

The detour route will be 12 Mile Road for eastbound through traffic and 14 Mile Road for westbound through traffic. The road is expected to be open to traffic by August 15, 2008 with all restoration completed by September 15, 2008. The road is being reconstructed to provide a center left-turn lane and curb and gutters in lieu of open ditches. The work is being done by Pamar Enterprises of New Haven, Michigan.
