The Southfield
Historical Museum will be open for tours on Sunday, December, 17 from
1:00 – 4:00 p.m. The museum, located at Berg Road and Civic Center
Drive, features various cultural keepsakes, items from Southfield’s
history and international dolls and toys on display for children to
enjoy.
The museum is the
site of the original Town Hall built in 1873, where every day
government business for the Township was conducted. It served as the
City of Southfield offices until 1964 when they were moved to the
present location on Evergreen.
