(SOUTHFIELD, Mich.) - The city of Southfield, in partnership with the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Southfield Community Foundation and Providence Hospital, will sponsor the “Fire & Ice” 50th anniversary kickoff celebration on Saturday, January 26 at 7 p.m. at Plum Hollow Country Club, located at 21631 Lahser Road in Southfield.
The black-tie optional event will feature an elegant evening of dinner, dancing and a winter fireworks display to kickoff the city of Southfield’s 50th anniversary in April 2008. Entertainment will be provided by Mel Ball and the Colours. The dinner will include Italian wedding soup, Michigan salad, stuffed chicken breast, wild rice, roasted potatoes, vegetable medley, and tiramisu for desert. Tickets are $70 per person or $525 for a table of eight. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis at the Southfield City Hall main lobby, Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Ticket proceeds will benefit the Southfield 50th anniversary fund.
