The city of
Southfield will present the fourth installment of the ‘Tuesdays with
the Treasurer’ financial lecture series on “Reverse Mortgages: a golden
opportunity for your golden years” on Tuesday, December 19, 6:30 p.m.
inside the Southfield Public Library auditorium located at 26300
Evergreen Road.
The program will
be hosted by Southfield City Treasurer Irv Lowenberg and will include a
presentation by Marc Kogan, Senior Mortgage Advisor, Success Mortgage
Partners, followed by a question-and-answer forum.
Reverse
mortgages have been said to be the safest, most flexible, and fasting
growing mortgage product in the United States. The program allows
homeowners 62 years or older to receive cash every month with no
monthly payment due for as long as they live in their home. There are
no credit or income qualifications for this product, and the proceeds
are tax free. Homeowners can use the cash any way they choose, while
continuing to own their home while on the program.
The lecture is
free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Call
Southfield City Treasurer Irv Lowenberg’s office at (248) 796-5210 or
