Action Requested: Approve the Work First program contract between the City of Southfield’s Career Center and the Michigan Works! Agency of Oakland County for the program year October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008 in the amount of $408,057.00
CA-C Southfield Career Center Wagner Peyser Grants Acceptance
Action Requested: Approve the Wagner Peyser contracts, including Employment and Reemployment Services, between the City of Southfield’s Career Center and the Michigan Works! Agency of Oakland County for the program year July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008 in the amount of $247,372.00
CA-D Southfield Career Center Workforce Investment Act Grants Acceptance
Action Requested: Approve the Workforce Investment Act Contracts between the City of Southfield’s Career Center and the Michigan Works! Agency of Oakland County for the program year July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008 in the amount of $1,470,677.00
CA-E Receipt of Bids for the Streamwood Stream Bank Erosion Mitigation Project
Action Requested: Award the construction contract for the Streamwood Stream Bank Erosion Mitigation Project to Deangelis Landscape, Inc. of Woodhaven, Michigan for their acceptable low bid of $89,925 and provide funding for the construction project in the total amount of $98,917.50; and authorize an adjustment to the existing professional services contract with Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. of Ann Arbor, Michigan to provide necessary environmental services related to the MDNR and MDEQ permit requirements for the project in an amount not to exceed $13,662 for the current year and $4,575 for each of the next three fiscal years
CA-F Beech Woods Naturalized Stream Bank and Soil Erosion Control Project – Authorization to Accept Grant Funding from the Rouge River National Wet Weather Demonstration Project Round VIII B Grant Program for Permit Compliance Activities
Action Requested: Authorize the acceptance of an Environmental Protection Agency, Rouge River National Wet Weather Demonstration Project Round VIII B Grant for Permit Compliance Activities, administered through the Rouge Program Office of the Wayne County Department of Environment, for the Beech Woods Naturalized Stream Bank and Soil Erosion Control Project consisting of $49,250 in grant funds and an equivalent minimum local match of $49,250
