(SOUTHFIELD, Mich). – Southfield City Treasurer Irv Lowenberg will present “Staying Afloat Financially During a Job Transition” at the next Tuesdays with the Treasurer on Tuesday, October 9 at 7 p.m. in the Southfield Public Library auditorium located at 26300 Evergreen Road.
The program will be hosted by Southfield City Treasurer Irv Lowenberg and will include a presentation by Darlene Boswell and David Terry of Telcom Credit Union, Renee Bellamy of United Way’s 2-1-1 Support Referral Service, along with specialists from the State of Michigan’s Office of Financial & Insurance Services. Panelists will discuss the best strategies for handling personal finance issues during a period of unemployment or early retirement, along with debt management selection, lump sum payout, and health insurance options.
