The city of Southfield will present the annual Burgh Park Gazebo Concert series beginning Wednesday, June 20 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Burgh Historical Park located on the northeast corner of Civic Center Drive and Berg Road.
The concerts are held Wednesday evenings through August 15. This year’s music lineup includes:
June 20 - Shady Maple Jazz Band – The classic, good time sound of Dixieland
July 4 - The Spirit of America Band – Patriotic favorites for a 4th of July celebration
July 11 - Phil Ogilvies’ Rhythm Kings – Big Band Hot Jazz of the ‘20s and ‘30s
July 18 - Straight Ahead Trio – Smooth, cool & classic jazz
July 25 - The Fats Waller Revue – Tribute to one of America’s best pianists and songwriters
Aug. 1 - Bob Seeley & Bob Baldori – Boogie Woogie piano wizards
Aug. 8 - Moose & Da Sharks – Fun ’50s Rock & Roll show
Aug. 15 - Paul King & the Rhythm Society Swing Orchestra – Classic 16-piece Big Band
