Mayor Brenda Lawrence will host a community roundtable for young adults (under 40) to discuss their vision for Southfield on Thursday, July 31 at 7:00 p.m. in the Southfield Public Library meeting room located at 26300 Evergreen Road.
To participate, residents must make reservations by calling the Mayor’s Office at (248) 796-5100. The discussion is limited to the first 30 residents to make reservations; however, others are welcome to attend.
The roundtables serve as an opportunity for residents to discuss specific predetermined topics relating to the quality of life in Southfield. The Mayor hosts several roundtables throughout the year focusing on various public issues. Department heads and staff are on hand at each roundtable to answer questions related to the respective topic. The final 2008 roundtable will be held on August 21 at the library with the topic of mortgages and foreclosures.
