The city of Southfield, in partnership with the City Centre Advisory Board, will sponsor the Eat to the Beat lunch concert series every Thursday this summer from June 17 – September 9 from 12 noon – 2:00 p.m. at the City Centre Plaza located on Central Park Boulevard, one block west of Evergreen between Civic Center Drive and 11 Mile Road.
The concert lineup features an eclectic mix of music and artists and includes:
June 17 - Zamar (Hybrid Jazz)
June 24 - The Pete "Big Dog" Fetters Band (Roadhouse Blues)
July 1 - The George Brothers (Rock n’ Roll)
July 8 - Dave Hamilton Band (Rock, Ballads & Psychedelic Soul)
July 15 - Harper (World Blues Fusion from Australia)
July 22 - The Sun Messengers (Horn-driven R & B)
July 29 - Straight Ahead (Virtuoso Jazz Ensemble)
August 5 - The Orbitsuns (Gritty Rock)
August 12 - The Tony Lannen Quartet (Modern Jazz)
August 19 - Larry Lee & Back in the Day (R & B Funk)
August 26 - The Witch Doctors (Smokin’ Blues)
September 2 - Carl Cafagna & North Star Jazz (Cssic Jazz)
September 9 - The Groove Council (Classic Motown Soul)
