A licensed and certified social worker specializing in services for older adults is available through the Human Services Department to provide free professional assistance, supportive counseling, assessment, and consultation.

Counseling can be provided for older adults and their family members who might be dealing with long-term care issues and planning, issues of loss and grief, stress, depression, and general problems connected with aging and daily living.

Individual assessment and counseling as well as group counseling on issues affecting older adults is available to residents of the City of Southfield. Programs, services, and referrals are also available for adults who have physical challenges.

For further information, or to make an appointment to meet with the Older Adult Social Worker, please call Judith Ventura at (248) 796-4547.
