Emergency Repair on Hazardous Sidewalks throughout the City:
The Sidewalk Repair Program has been in effect since 1991. Areas that have been completed since that date may have sidewalks that are currently in need of repair due to roots from trees in the City’s Right of Way or utility structures. To maintain safe sidewalks in areas previously done, an Emergency Repair Program has been established to target these areas. Only the City’s contractor at no cost to the property owner will repair the sidewalks that are damaged due to tree roots or utility structures.
If a property owner notices unsafe sidewalks in front of their property, they are encouraged to call the Engineering Department to have the sidewalk evaluated.
