Bill Lattimore was born and raised in Detroit and is a product of the Detroit Public School District. Graduating from Henry Ford High School in 1972, he attended the University of Detroit until 1976. After going into the entertainment business where he owned one of Detroit's most legendary nightspots, Bill turned his interest to being a servant of the people.
During the past 20 years, he has been a community activist, fighting for the rights of the disenfranchised. He has been a union representative for two Teamster locals where he organized the unorganized and negotiated collective bargaining agreements. At the legislative level of state government, Bill served as Chief of Staff to a State Senator. At the executive level of county government, Bill served as Executive Assistant to two Wayne County Executives.
During his tenure on City Council, Bill will use his experience in government to benefit his constituency. As the newest member of Council, Bill is excited to serve the citizens of Southfield. Mr. Lattimore has been a resident of Southfield for the past 4 ½ years, and resides in the Cranbrook Village subdivision. He has a daughter, Lauren, who is a graduate of Southfield-Lathrup High School, and currently a sophomore at Eastern Michigan University.
