Southfield Veterans' Commission


Serving all Veterans in the City of Southfield

  1. The purpose of this organization is to:
    1. Strengthen common Veterans’ cause(s), to make the community aware of Veterans’ rights and their place within the community;
    2. Honor those who have passed on;
    3. Preserve honor for those Veterans of the future; and
    4. Assist Veterans and their families when in need.
  2. Southfield Veterans’ Commission is also dedicated to working with the City of Southfield on policies, programs and concerns related to all honorably discharged Veterans.
  3. Southfield Veterans’ Commission is also organized for the purpose of raising funds to be used to support the purposes of SVC and any other activity related to Veterans including activities of the Southfield Police Department which may serve Veterans and their families. 
  4. Southfield Veterans’ Commission shall not attempt to influence legislation, unless it pertains to Veterans’ concerns. SVC shall not participate in or intervene in any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office, including the publishing or distributing of statements.
