REGISTRATION:

  • Persons intending to bid must have a bidder #
  • To get a bidder #, you must first register with the auction
    clerk at the registration desk.
  • Must have valid driver’s license/state ID to register
  • Registration is free

BID INFORMATION:

  • As soon as a bidder has successfully bid on the item auctioned, he/she should report to the registration desk to process the vehicle transfer paperwork. CITY OF SOUTHFIELD IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY POSSIBLE DAMAGES TO ANY ITEMS LEFT AT THE AUCTION SITE AFTER THE SALE.

  • The City of Southfield, Purchasing Division, reserves the right to reject any bid which, in the opinion of the conducting official, is unreasonable. Items so bid will be removed from the bidding and may be re-offered for bidding at a later time.

  • The City of Southfield, Purchasing Division, further reserves the right to waive, amend or otherwise change any auction procedure when, in the opinion of the conducting official, such waiver, amendment, or change is in the best interest of the City.

  • The City of Southfield assumes no responsibility for accidents or injuries to persons in attendance.

  • No vehicle shall be sold to an unemancipated minor under age 18 without the written consent of the minor’s parents or his guardian on a form approved by the Secretary of State. Persons under 18 must have their parent’s or guardian’s name on the title.

PAYMENT: (NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND OR AMOUNT WILL BE MADE)

  • DEPOSITS: NON-REFUNDABLE – CASH OR CERTIFIED FUNDS required at time of sale in the amount of $100 PER VEHICLE or 10% of the purchase price, whichever is greater.
  • BALANCE: CASH OR CERTIFIED FUNDS payable to CITY OF SOUTHFIELD, due no later than the TUESDAY following the auction.
  • NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND OR AMOUNT WILL BE MADE

VEHICLE INFORMATION:

The list of vehicles offered for sale and the description has been compiled from available data, but there is no expressed or implied guarantee or warranty on the part of the City of Southfield, Michigan, relative thereto as to number or quantity, kind, character, description, condition, suitability for use for which it may be desired or in any other respect whatsoever, all material is sold "as is" and "where is."

VEHICLE PICK-UP:  Vehicle(s) are available for pick-up once full payment has been received.

VEHICLE TITLE:  When completing the buyer portion of the sales receipt, please specify:

  • How to title vehicle (title available for municipal vehicles only)
  • Pick up or mail title (allow five to seven days to process)
  • Impound vehicles will not have a title from the City of Southfield. Consult police officer at the registration desk for instructions on how to obtain title for vehicle.

TERMS:

  • NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND OR AMOUNT WILL BE MADE
  • All items will be sold "AS IS" and "WHERE IS" and must be removed at buyer's risk and expense.
