Police Department

PRIDE
Having the business community's involvement and cooperation are keys to the success of the Southfield Police Department's P.R.I.D.E (Pooling Resources in Defense of our Environment) program.

The network empowers both the Police Department and P.R.I.D.E. members to better take advantage of the available resources via e-mail networks it creates between the Police Department, private security agencies, building/property managers and others.

Members from the public/private sector attend informal meetings at various locations throughout the City. Discussions include realizing the importance of crime prevention through environmental design, and sharing information about crimes.

Both the public and private sectors share a common interest in maintaining Southfield as a viable business community and a safe place to work, shop, live, and play.
