What the 9-1-1 Dispatcher will need to know:
- Where the problem is.
- Nature of the problem
Answer all questions, stay clam, and
do not hang up.
- Who you are.
Your address and telephone number.
The 9-1-1 call takers and emergency dispatchers are there to help you in an emergency.
- Emergency Medical Dispatch
When calling for help in a medical emergency the dispatcher may ask specialized questions and provide pre-arrival instructions to the caller.

- Telecommunication Device for the Deaf TDD
The enhanced 9-1-1 system also supports TDD (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf). If a person calls 9-1-1 using a telecommunications device for the deaf or hearing impaired the Dispatcher can communicate with the person to determine the problem.
